Downham Village Hall enjoys an unrivalled setting at the foot of Pendle Hill. Based in one of Lancashire’s loveliest villages, it offers quality facilities for a wide range of events – from Wedding Receptions and children’s activities, to parties and smaller meetings. It is also a very popular base for social and professional groups wishing to explore the area’s wonderful walking and wildlife.

With a big main Hall and stage, newly refurbished large kitchen, two further smaller rooms and kitchen and up to date toilet facilities, it offers very flexible options for the hirer. In addition, the Committee and other village groups have regular events such as coffee mornings, Gardening Club, WI, cookery demonstrations and lots of children’s activities, as well as exhibitions and theatre performances. Find out more here. You can download a copy of our parish calendar here (link to pdf) which will give you information on what we’re up to. New people are always welcome.

Whatever your requirements – whether it is a fabulous wedding reception where we can source some of the area’s best caterers and wedding planners for you, a christening party on a budget, a 5th birthday party (that’s not in your own house!), an 80’s disco with a twist or a Brownies’ summer camp - we’re worth a look. The Key Facts section will provide with you the basic information you need and the Rates will give you a pleasant surprise.

We look after our Village Hall – so you will find it in good condition when you hire it. In addition, we can recommend accommodation such as the Village’s own camping barn or local pubs and hotels and many other local services for your event – just let us know what you need when you make your initial enquiry.

Contact: Shaun Roney on 01200 441667 to check whether the Hall is available on your desired date, then you can download our hiring agreement and T&C here and return it to: West Lane House, Downham, Clitheroe, Lancashire BB7 4BS.
