Twiston on Gritting Route thanks Borough Councillor Gary Scott

At long last Twiston has been placed on a priority gritting route for Winter 2010/11. Downham and Twiston Ribble Valley Borough Councillor, Gary Scott, was told the good news early this month. Talks have been ongoing with Lancashire County Council Highways Dept for several months. It is now hoped that with regular gritting and snow clearing, the problem of last winter becomes a thing of the past. Priority route E8 will include Annel Cross, Twiston, Lower Gate, Twiston Lane and exiting at Downham Post Office. The County Council have still to finalise their plans for salt bins.
